Free-range eggs are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids.

A comparison between supermarket eggs and those that are free range have shown a 20-fold difference in omega-3 fat concentrations.
Analyses of the 1995 Australian National Nutrition Survey, found eggs contributed to 6% of the dietary intake of omega-3 fats.
