Papaya
Jam

" I
want to give you a recipe on making PAPAYA
jam."
"If
you have many papayas growing round the
place, getting ripe and never be able to
eat them you can make jam using my simple
recipe. If you have a juicer or blender
it is better still".
Cut
5-6 whole fruits open and clean out the
seeds. There is no need to remove the rind
if you are using a juicer or blender (cut
the fruit up and juice or blend it). Otherwise
you will need to peel them, in which case
the rind is wasted. Chop up the papaya and
place in a large saucepan with all the juice.
Add half a kilogram of brown sugar. Mix
it thoroughly and cook it on a medium flame,
stirring it occasionally till the mixture
thickens.
Cook for 1 - 1.5 hours. When
done, spoon it into jars or tupperware,
let it cool and seal tightly. No preservatives
needed. It is very delicious.
